Nadine, the passionate owner of Marmalade Jewellery, brings a unique blend of creativity and expertise to her role as Creative Director and Buyer. With a background in dance and theatre, she seamlessly transitioned into the jewellery industry, honing her skills through diamond grading in Antwerp. Driven by a clear vision for Marmalade, Nadine is dedicated to delivering exceptional client service while fostering a supportive environment for her team, empowering them to excel through continuous training and development. Her leadership ensures that Marmalade remains a beacon of creativity, quality, and excellence in the jewellery world.
Simon Johnson
Trained diamond grader, Fellow of the Institute of Registered Valuers, Qualified gemmologist and jewellery designer. Former Chair of the National Association of Jewellers and Freeman of the City Of London.
Simon has been passionate about making and designing jewellery his whole career. The part of the proves he loves to most is ensuring he has a full and complete understanding of his clients ideas and aspirations when designing, making or selling jewellery.
He understands that jewellery is one of the few things in life that ties a time, place, people and emotion to a physical object so creating a piece that represents all those elements is an important part of every persons identity and history.
Janina
Janina has worked at Marmalade Jewellery for the last 16 years and has been a director for the last 6 years. Janina’s dedication to Marmalade is down to the wonderful team, Marmalade’s loyal customers and of course the beautiful jewellery.
During her time at Marmalade Janina has gained extensive jewellery and gemmological experience, acquiring both FGA and DGA status and been a member of the Institute of Registered Valuers (MIRV) for 8 years. As an MIRV Janina has been trained in providing accurate assessments of all types of jewellery. Janina is head of valuations at Marmalade and co -ordinates all our valuations. Her favourite part of the job is seeing what treasures customers bring in during a valuation day.
Lucy
Lucy is the store manager and a director at Marmalade, proudly serving as a valued member of the Marmalade family for nearly 13 years. Over the years, Lucy has earned an impressive array of qualifications, including her JET certification, FGA gemmology diploma, and most recently, her FoAP accreditation, which qualifies her as an IRV valuer.
Lucy's passion for jewellery shines through in everything she does. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures that clients and team members alike enjoy exceptional experiences. She has a particular love for second-hand jewellery, especially our Revival collection—a curated selection of preloved, vintage, and antique pieces. With her keen eye for unique and extraordinary finds, Lucy brings this collection to life, creating a stunning showcase of timeless treasures. She loves helping clients with family pieces, testing and assessing their treasures and giving them the best advice. Revival Valuation days, give clients the opportunity to bring in their jewellery for free advice.
Originally studying jewellery design at university, Lucy has a keen creative eye and loves working on bespoke projects with clients. Drawing ideas and helping client’s visions coming to life.
Sharon
Sharon joined Marmalade Jewellery in 2022 after concluding a career in IT systems and Real Estate and her last role with the NHS.
Since joining the Jewellery Industry and with the support of Marmalade, Sharon has dedicated her time to education gaining certificates in Gemmology and Practical Diamond Grading from Gem-A, Applied Jewellery Professional (AJP) qualification from Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and the JET Professional Jewellers Certificate from The National Association of Jewellers (NAJ).
Sharon enjoys all aspects of supporting our clients at Marmalade: she combines a lifelong love of gems and minerals with a passion for helping people find their personal style and expressing with jewellery and accessories. By continuing to develop her jewellery design skills Sharon is able to advise our clients on repairs, re-modelling of family jewellery pieces and bespoke designs.
Gwyn
Gwyn has been a part of the Marmalade team for over a year now and has loved embarking on her journey into the Jewellery and retail industry. With a keen passion for all things fashion, Gwyn has settled right into our passionate and spirited team here at Marmalade Fine Jewellery. We have a strong ethos for personal development and education. Hence Gwyn was supported in completing her JET 1, an introduction to Jewellery production, design, gemstone grading and precious metals. Gwyn’s favourite memory was sourcing gemstones for a beautiful replacement engagement ring based on her original ring that held great sentimental value. Our relationships with clients are nurtured here, shown by our loyal and trusting customers, some even dating back to 20 years ago when the business originated.
